We asked refugees saved at sea “Who is the first person you want to call ?”

 “When

 you get a phone in your hand, who’s the first person you’ll call? My 

mother. First, you know, I’m going to call my mother. I first of all 

call my mum, yeah that’s the first person I’ll call first. I’ll call my 

mom first and I know she’ll be very happy. First I call my mum. But I 

come here six days, not call my mom.” Red Cross and Red Crescent ha s 

been helping reconnect families for more than one hundred years—through
