EDUCATION TRENDS IN THE PANDEMIC AND BEYOND Thursday, January 21, 2021 A recent poll by EdChoice and Morning Consult reveals what parents think about the state of K-through-12 education right now. About two thirds of parents thought schools wouldn’t be safe for in-person classes until well into 2021, and parents’ enthusiasm for homeschooling has been steadily waning since its peak this past summer. Most say they want schools to provide curriculum and instruction for remote learning. Meanwhile, support for school choice—education savings accounts, vouchers, charter schools—has remained high, reaching record levels throughout the pandemic.
