Eye On Watches

(NAPSA)—If you’ve been keeping time with wristwatch trends, you probably know that today’s watches do more than keep time. However, you may not know that new types of watches help you predict the weather. i New watches can help people predict weather. For instance, one new watch measures barometric pressure. When its hands point to before 12 o'clock, pressure is dropping (a possible sign of approaching bad weather). When hands point after 12, it meanspressureis rising. The watch, called the Tissot T- Touch, has a numberof other func- tions as well. By touching the watch crystal, wearers can access the Thermo function (measures temperature); the Chrono function (a digital timer); a Compass function; an Altimeter function (measures altitude); an alarm and the Meteo function, which measures pressure. The watch has beena hit across America and in Hollywood, where its unique functions have played roles in films such as this summer’s “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.”
