A new national poll shows Americans overwhelmingly support federal investments in medical and cancer research.

The survey, released by the American Association for Cancer Research, found that eighty-nine percent of voters support using taxpayer dollars to fund medical research—and eighty-three percent want increased funding specifically for cancer research.

Confidence in researchers and institutions like the National Cancer Institute remains high with strong bipartisan agreement that Congress should make medical research funding a top priority.
