The U.S. Department of Labor has launched America’s Service Locator (www.servicelocator.org), a Web site that helps workers and employers find the nearest public offices providing job and career service. By entering their zip code, users can download a map and driving directions. America’s Service Locator is one of four online workforce tools in a family of Web sites called America’s Career Kit. The other tools are America’s Job Bank (www.ajb.org), whichlists searchable job openings and resums; America’s Career InfoNet (www.acinet.org), which provides valuable information on employment trends, wages and career options; and America’s Learning eXchange (www.alx.org), which connects employers and job seekers to information on training and education resources. Each month, America’s Career Kit hosts seven million user sessions by job seekers and employers. It’s the nation’s largest online career development system.
