For Parents Overcoming Obstacles (NAPS)—Single parents are, by their circumstances, linked with others who share their problems of bringing up children alone, and coping with the emotional conflicts of divorce, separation, widowhood or choosing not to marry. Fortunately, there’s an international organization that was created to help single parents over- come obstacles and make life better for themselves and their children. An international organization helps bring single parents to- gether, for themselves and their children. Parents Without Partners, Inc. (PWP), provides real help for single parents with discussions, professional speakers, study groups, publications and social activities for families and adults. Through the exchange of ideas and com- panionship, PWP worksto further the common welfare of single parents and the well-being of their children. Benefits of membership include advocacy in support oflegislative policies andpriorities that further the interests of single parent families; educational programs and discussion groups on parent-child relationships; and college scholarships for children of members.
