Sister Study (NAPSA)—Taking part in the Sister Study can be a great way to honor your sister—and all the women in your life. The study hopes to find the environmental and genetic causes of breast cancer so young women don’t haveto face this disease. Women who take part in this study must havea sister who has had breast cancer but never been diagnosed with the disease themselves. The long-term observational study by researchers at the Honor your sister with a special gift. Take part in a study that may find the causes of breast cancer. National Institute of Environmen- tal Health Sciences, one of the National Institutes of Health, will collect samples and ask participants questions about diet, jobs, hobbies and things they’ve been exposed to throughout their lives to determine what may influence breast cancerrisk. Women in the U.S. and Puerto Rico ages 35 to 74 maybeeligible to join the study, which seeks 50,000 womenofall backgrounds, occupations and ethnic groups.
