The first time you use a self tanner, an inexpensive aerosol product can be a great choice. Skin Drench Instant Self Tanning Spray lets you experiment with a spray-on tanner without making a large investment. You can also try Air Silk Spray-On Hosiery. This spray creates a silky, tanned finish that is waterproof but washes off with soap and water. Once you have mastered the technique and are looking for a higher quality product, a small airbrush system can be a wonder- ful option. The Aztec Tanning Sys- tem comes complete with an exfoliating spray, tanning solution and moisturizer that can all be applied with the airbrush. Spray tanners generally only take a few minutes to dry and each has a recommended length of time to leave the tanner on. Leaving it on longer will not necessarily produce a darker tan. Some tanners leave a color guide so you can see where the product was applied. Exfoliate every two days to help the tan fade evenly and touch-up as recommended by each product. It is also important to use a moisturizer on your legs every day to prolong the look.
