Bring Your Mom To Work Day

To Work Day (NAPSA)—While sending flowers and othergifts is a wonderful way to celebrate the special women in our lives on Mother’s Day, a national campaign invites Americans to do more. The not-for-profit Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF) and 1-800-FLOWERS.COM havedeclared Tuesday, May 6, 2003 to be To Work Day. Companies and individuals nationwide are encouraged to participate as a way to say “thanks” to their employees’ moms or mother figures by “bringing Mom to work,”literally or virtually. All proceeds from the campaign will benefit OCRF’s efforts to advanceresearch, raise awareness, and find a cure for ovarian cancer. Ovarian cancer affects 1 in 55 women and thousands more men, women and children whoareforever touched by theinsidious disease. The campaign andotherefforts initiated by 1-800-FLOWER.COM have raised nearly $150,000 to date for research and outreach programs. Companies of any size can par- ticipate in to Work Day. Employees are asked to make a suggested donation of $5 to take part, either with their moms or through a suggested virtual activity.
